Lana's Journey
Read MoreLana's beginning.
This was Lana shortly after arriving at The Riverbank Vet clinic in Grafton.
She had been hit by a car and brought in as a "stray"
The Grafton Council gave Riverside Veterinary clinic 24 hours to find her owners or she would be euthanised.
Luckily one of the Vets thought it would be great to offer her to Happy Paws Haven in Grafton.
Lana's leg was amputated due to the structural damage.
Whilst staying in the Veterinary clinic it became obvious to the Veterinary staff that Lana did not like other dogs, men and she was also petrified of cars.
A new decision was made to leave Lana in foster care with Kate Joseph from Real Rescue until she had recovered from her injuries and had time to rebuild some confidence. Less dogs and more one on one attention would be possible for Lana in Kate's care.
There was quite a few people involved that figured this little dog deserved a second chance...
